A beautiful cave 10 minutes drive from Gourdon. In these caves you will find huge numbers of stalactites and fistuleuses (hollow stalactites). You will also find original prehistoric wall drawings here.

La grotte du Pech Merle
An authentic cave
1 km gallery, 7 halls, mineral deposits, original prehistoric wall paintings and engravings. It is not difficult to understand why Pech Merle is considered one of the most valuable caves in France.

Gouffre de Padirac
Descend into a giant sinkhole
The entrance is impressive, a sinkhole with a diameter of 35 meters and a depth of over 100 meters. After this, the real visit to the cave begins. You start with an underground boat trip, then discover the enormous halls and long galleries on foot, and finally end with a second underground boat trip to the exit.

Grotte de Domme
Descend below Domme
Among the characteristic houses and picturesque streets is the cave of Domme. A visit to the picturesque Domme can therefore be ideally combined with this cave. It's not the biggest, but definitely the most cosy and worth a visit.
